Is it possible to get pregnant a day after taking the morning after pill?

a day after taking the morning after pill i had unprotected sex. it's been a week now and i should have bleed for a few of days but all i had was a string of blood for one day. i dont know when is a good time to take a preg test nor do i want to waste money buying so many test. plus i hate waiting at the doc's office.
i've been trying to search how long the morning after pill stays in your system but no luck anywhere on the web. my bf and i have had accidents before and i've taken some in the past and all of them made me bleed a week later. i just think it's weird that i'm not bleeding a week later after taking the morning after pill. suggestions and comments would help alot please.

If you are not ready to be a mommy, you should investigate and follow through with being responsible--take an effective for of birth control.

The morning after pill is not all that effective...somewhere around 70%, which is dismal, but obviously better than not using it.

Good luck!

The only thing you can do now is to take a sensitive pregnancy test, using a first morning urine, about 2-3 weeks after your last episode of unprotected intercourse.  If it is negative, take another one 1 week after that.

Don't count on the morning after pill to protect you in this circumstance.
