Is it true?

I am taking birth control & have recently missed my period. I am 11 day's late now & have had unprotected sex on many occassion's with my fianc'e in the past two month's. I am also on an anti-seizure medication. I recently read somewhere that when your taking an anti-seizure medication, while on birth contol, it make's your birth control not work. I was wondering if this was true or not as I think I am pregnant. Please help me...

It is true that certain medications and many anti-biotics will cause the birth control pill to be less effective(basically like having unprotected sex). I am not sure about your specific medication, but it would be something you would want to ask you doctor. If you think you may be pregnant, take a home pregnancy test. You can take a home pregnancy test at least 2 weeks after having sex or after a missed period. Since your period is late, buy a home pregnancy test and use it tomorrow morning with first morning urine.
