Stopped Birth Control and I am a week late on my period

I stopped taking birth control pills a month ago, I was suppose to start my period on the 23rd and had unprotected sex on the 20th. I am a week late on my period but during the time I was suppose to get it I got cramps and a lot of white discharge.I took a pregnancy test and it was negative but i think i might have taken it too early. Could this mean I am pregnant or is it just a late period from stopping the birth control.

you could just be late from  getting off the pill
how long have you been taking the pill? your cycles can get ver irregular after getting off

you could be preg just cause when you get off the pill it can make you ovulate when you dont normally... it wouldnt be normal to ovulate 3 days before your period but come on were not text books lol and not all of ovulate normally  you can test 14 days after the unprotected sex and get an accurate reading
take a vitamin just incase cause early fetal development is very important
