Tubes Tied After Birth

Hello ladies. I am 10 weeks pregnant with my third and hopefully last child. My two children are boys 13 and 10 years old. I said to myself that no matter what gender god blesses me with im getting my tubes tied. Dr recommended doing the surgery right after delivery.  Has anyone ever done this procedure like this right after birth? Will it cause extra pain? I know this question is early in the pregnancy but I want to mentally prepare myself.

My Mom got hers tied after my younger brother and there wasn't any additional pain. That was almost 30 years ago, so I'm sure things are even better now.

My friend got her tubes tied but she had a vaginal delivery and the Dr. Told her its best to wait for her 6weeks to make sure the swelling went down so she went and recovered well she said she was just sore for 2days. I'm planning on getting mines done but I have to have a c section and they tie your tubes while they have you open. So I guess it depends on your delivery plan and the Dr they all do things different.
