birth control and spotting

hi i've been on birth control pills for almost 4 months now, im on my 4th month and i missed the last 3 placebo pills of my 3rd month. 7 days ago i had sex with my boyfriend and then 5 days after that i had this brown spots on my underwear and im having back cramps and a really really emotional week. im afraid that i might be pregnant. am i? someone help me please

they're the combination kind so i guess thats why im too moody all the freaking time. This is the first time i had spotting though, since the start (of me taking the pills) thats why it freaked me out because i never had spotting before then. also me and my boyfriend used a condom and we checked if they're broken. but what keeps me on edge is that before he put the condom on he kept rubbing his penis near/above my vagina, so is that still safe?

I think this may be just stress that you're going through. Placebo pills have NO hormones involved and are basically "sugar" pills during your period week. I normally don't take them because I don't forget the time my pills are due (doesn't mean you should do this). Your body is still adjusting to the pills considering you have only been on them for a short period time. My suggestion is if you keep having these spotting issues to call your doctor or the pharmacy that you get your pills and see if this normal... What kind of pills are you on?
