can I skip my period this month while on POPs?

My boyfriend is scheduled to come back from Iraq this weekend - problem is, I'm due to start my period the day he returns! I am currently taking the progesterone-only pill (Jolivette .35mg daily) and have been for a few years. Is there any way to delay my period on this pill? Can I just take a few extra (ie a higher dose) each day to delay my cycle? Will this work? If not, do you have any other suggestions for what I might do to delay or skip my cycle this month?

No you can't delay your period on a progesterone only pill. Might be just a good idea to talk to your B/F about sex whilst having a period. Most guys don't mind. Some use a condom. Just make the most of your time together in an old fashioned way and don't fret about having sex.
