me and my gf were having sex and the condom broke.. now i know that we only had sex for about under 5 mins before the it actually broke because i seen my penis 5 mins before and the condom was still intact... i didnt ejaculate in her at all but i know that preejaculation can occur.. this happend about 11am monday 17..next day on tuesday about 1pm we bought and she took PLAN B... now her periods was supposed to come on the 22..but she said that it usually comes a weekearly... its now the 23rd of the same month... so her perdiod didnt come a week early and it did not come on time(the 22nd)its now a day late and she said that she doesnt feel it comming either... she feels fine... so what are the possibilities that she is pregnant?  she says she does not feel the usual sideaffects of a period either...

Hello,
Welcome to the forum. If the periods were expected just 1 day after having the unexpected intercourse, then chances of pregnancy are less. Pregnancy occurs only during the time of ovulation. Ovulation is the release of a single, mature egg from a follicle that developed in the ovary. It usually occurs regularly, around day 14 of a 28-day menstrual cycle. Once released, the egg is capable of being fertilized for 12 to 48 hours before it begins to disintegrate. So pregnancy is less likely.

Secondly, taking Plan B within 72 hours of intercourse protects against pregnancy to a great extent. Your girlfriend had taken the plan B pill within the time limit for Plan B and so pregnancy seems unlikely.

Thirdly, apart from the side effects of nausea, abdominal pain, fatigue, headache, breast tenderness; a change in menstrual periods is an important side effect of Plan B pill. With Plan B, the periods should be delayed. The periods should come within 7 days of the expected date. If the periods are delayed by more than 7 days, then please ask your girlfriend to consult her doctor and get serum HCG done.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
