MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
If you have been taking the pill regularly and as directed then the chances of pregnancy are minimal. Pills are almost 98-99% effective in preventing pregnancy if taken correctly. It is possible that you are experiencing menstrual cramps. Menstrual cramps are caused by the uterine contractions that occur in response to prostaglandins and other chemicals. The cramping sensation is intensified when clots or pieces of bloody tissue from the lining of the uterus pass through the cervix, especially if a woman's cervical canal is narrow. If you are still doubtful it is best to take up blood HCG test for confirmation. Consult a gynecologist for more queries and clinical examination. Keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
