Changed BC, Period Now Messed Up

Two months ago, my doctor changed my birth control pills to Loestrin 24 from just another off brand pill. I didn't have my period last month. I have had a couple days of spotting. This past week though, I have had a lot of brown discharge. It is almost like I have had the end of my period for a week because it is the same kind of discharge like when I end my periods, except I am having so much more. I will be finishing my second complete month by this weekend, so I am suppose to have a period by then. We will see I guess. I am so use to having a period every month, not having one freaked me out. Plus, all this discharge/blood randomly coming out of me is weird. I hope my body is still just getting use to the change in pills. Any help/suggestions? I should probably just wait until the end of the week to see if I get a period or not, but I am impatient and I keep thinking something is wrong with me.

I seem to be back to normal for now, which is good. I just had a really screwed up month.

When I switched from my previous pill to apri, i had the same brown-ish period. I chalked it up to just the hormones wrecking havoc on my body!
