Dad of 4 at age 40 concerned about sperm

I need to know how long sperm would live on my body after masturbating 4 times.  I had sex with my wife about an hour after the last masturbation.  I usually pee and bathe after doing that before sex to get rid of the sperm but this time I got lazy.  It was about 1 am and I was tired.  I did of course shower that morning.

I had my wife insert conceptrol spermicide and I wore a latex condom but I am not confident that all sperm were dead on bottom of penis or scrotum.

I am hoping that the sperm were dead within an hour since I was naked and they would have air dried, and I am hoping the spermicide killed or disable any that were left.

I am 40 years old and a 5th child would devastate us now.

The reason for the fear today, is that I woke up and realized it is her ovulation time, and I usually avoid her during a 6 day span.

Thanks for helping a paranoid guy..

Either is perfectly adequate, when used in conjunction with another method.

I read some other posts from you.  Do your recommend foam over jelly?

We have used conceptrol because it is sealed individually and pre dosed.

I think I read foam spreads out better.

No real reason to worry.  I think she'll be just fine.  The sperm on the bottom of the penis or scrotum were likely dead anyway, and she used spermicide, AND you used a condom.
