Plan b is an emergency contraceptive to be used within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. It can help prevent pregnancy, but it's not a guarantee. It is not intended for use as regular birth control or use after every intercourse. After using plan B, you have to follow up with you doctor within 2-3 weeks to check for pregnancy. This doctor's visit after plan b is not optional and is very important as it states when you take the prescription. That 2 week window after intercourse is when pregnancy can occur. Plan B is not 100% effective. You need to see your doctor for follow-up.

Plan B is the same thing as the morning after pill. It is used to prevent pregnancy up to 5days after unprotected sex!!! Two week window? Usually two weeks after the first day of your period is your fertile window. If u are having unprotected sex and do not want to become pregnant do not have sex around this time. The tricky thing about it is sometimes u can and some women ovulate early or late so there is still a 50/50 chance that u could get pregnant. So the best thing to do if u don't want baby right now is to use a contraceptive be it Depo, the Pill, or Condoms!!!! Good luck to you
