6 days post op

Hi Ladies;
I am six days post op (bi lateral w/ reconstruction, expanders with 100 cc) home for two days.
Still having alot of pain, mostly in the middle of the night and early morning. I am loaded up on pain meds but am not feeling like I am getting enough relief. I also feel like I am  very engorged, I also feel a slight vibration on each side; is this normal? how long before I start to feel more comfortable? Drains are still in, but they don't seam to bother me as much as I thought they would.
Any hints on how to feel more comfortable will be much appreciated!!
thanks

Unfortunately, the Reconstructive Surgery Expert Forum is cloded to new questions. However, you might be able to find some relevant info by searching the archives of that forum.

Hope your pain lessens soon...

thanks; I was starting to get worried that I wasn't feeling any better, if anything a little worse.

I'm being as serious as one can be but my only suggestion would be TIME !! Six days is a very short time to expect to feel as comfortable as you would like. You might try posting also on the Expert Forum (Reconstructive Surgery) and see if the Docs there have any adivce. I trust you have discussed your concerns with your Plastic Surgeon .... but only 6 days ??? Time and Patience are your best friends at this point.   Take care .....
