Suspicious Results

I'm 40, I had my mammogram a few weeks ago and they called me and told me I needed to go back to get more images and a sonogram. Well the results are in and I'm schedule for a biopsy because the findings were: Persistent 4cm x 5cm ill-defined density retroaerolar of my right breast. The radiologist Impressionas are BI-RADS:Suspicious Abnormality with a Subdivision: 4B.  Is cancer probable with these findings and a bi-rad 4 ?. What is the % that it's cancer? I just want to be prepared for the biopsy findings.

I was schedule for a core needle biopsy but when they finish they had cut a little bit and remove a bigger piece of the mass. Is this normal? I'm still waiting for the results of the biopsy, they should be ready today. They didn't tell me why they did that.

Dear latin40, A BIRADS  4 rating of an ultrasound or mammogram describes a suspicious looking abnormality that is not characteristic but has a reasonable probability of malignancy, and a biopsy should be considered.  In other words, based on the testing done they cannot rule out that something is cancer.  So to be on the safe side a biopsy of the suspicious area is recommended.
