Breast Atypical Hyperplasia

My breast biopsy diagnosis is the following:  Minute focus of atypical lobular hyperplasia (best seen level 2), usual ductal hyperplasia, calcifications present in association with benign breast tissue.  What does this really means?  Am I on high risk to develop breast cancer?  Thanks for your help.

Dear DLV51: Atypical lobular hyperplasia is less of concern than atypical ductal hyperplasia. It is a possible precursor to lobular carcinoma in situ.  Unlike ductal carcinoma in situ, which is considered and treated as cancer, LCIS is considered  more of a precursor to cancer than actual cancer. So it's really 2 levels removed from cancer, and is not an absolute precusor at that. Meaning, it's not at all clear that ALH would necessarily lead to LCIS, nor would LCIS necessarily lead to invasive lobular cancer. So, in fact, with ALH most people would recommend regular followup, but nothing more. Bottom line: your risk of developing breast cancer is only minimally elevated over that of any other woman. No one can guarantee any woman what her odds are, or that mammography would always find it early.

I'm not going to claim this stuff helps, but having had breast cancer myself 4yrs ago,I wish i'd been able to have this product then.A friend recently introduced me to a product called Monavie. It's an all natural fruit drink with 19 different fruits in it.The main one being a fruit called the Acai berry.I've seen a study issued by the University of Florida where they have been testing this berry and it's cancer fighting qualities. If you'd like to read more about this product the guy has a web site.

Please check the site out and tell others.Like I said I can't claim that it will help but for me,putting nothing but natural goodness in my body has made me feel better than I have in years.Good luck to you.
