Breast soreness

I am not sure I am in the right forum. I am a 37 year old male with a job where I am on my feet all day and have some heavy lifting to do. Sometimes all day. 3 months ago I noticed a sore pain directly beneath (yet more of a surface pain) my right breast. It only hurts when I apply pressure or something or somebody else does. There seems to be a bit of stiffness in the spot it hurts the most which is just a little to the left (thats my left) of the center of my right breast. My doctor ordered an ultra sound and when they found nothing they decided to do a mamogram. Well, needless to say, they still didn't find anything. The pulling required for the mamogram only seemed to make it worse. Could it be a nerve? A pulled muscle? The radiologist who took the ultra sound said I had some inflamed fatty tissue. That's all they came up with. Help! Thanks.

I would think it might take a considerable amount of time especially since you described that your job entails some heavy lifting. Since there is some question as to what it really is I hesitate to recommend anything specific to help the healing.  Usually it's time and rest but you might ck. with your Dr. for some advice.   Take care ...

Thank you for responding to my question. So if it is inflamed tissue or muscle tissue how long does it take to heal and is there anything I can wear to help with the healing process? Thanks.

I think you are at the right place ... we deal with all sorts of breast issues here both male and female. Since you had both the ultrasound and mammogram (and by the way, now you know what we women have to go thru) and both returned negative results I would be thinking along the lines of a muscle issue or the inflammed tissue. If you continue to be concerned you might consider seeing a Breast Specialist and have him/her review your films and examine you ... a second opinion of sorts. Regards ....
