Dear Bridg, A foamy histiocyte is a cell of the immune system (a macrophage) that is normally found in body tissue.
histiocytes, among other things, gobble up some leftover elements from inflammation. When they are foamy, it sometimes means they've just eaten. It can be a sign of recent inflammation, injury, etc. It can be seen anywhere, and really has no specific significance.
