Is This Paget's Disease?

Hi There,

I'm 20 years old and I had started getting dark yellowish nipple discharge that had spontaneously leaked onto my bras and was sticking in my left breast in March of 2006 other symptoms included little lines that looked like cut that leaked the yellowish discharge and would dry and crust over, only to when I would shower the crust would peel off and the little 'line cuts' would leak more. I had gotten a ultrasound on that breat in September of 2007 and they had found no cancer. I have gone off birth control, my prolactin levels were checked and still nothing. I was sent to a breast cancer specialist who exmained me and said that she had felt no lumps and reffered me to a dermatologist suggesting it was excema, however the topicals creams provided were not working, and antibiotics taken in case of infection were not working either. Since then, my right breast has started doing this as well (I can't remember and exact date but sometime after the ultrasound, but before '08) Since then I would get the ocasional sharp pain in my boobs, and last week my boobs were swollen, as if I were pregnant, then went back down to their normal size (By the way I have no children, and I'm not pregnant)

If cancer has been ruled out previously, (I'm getting another ultrasound this Saturday to confirm that) what other breast diseases mimick similar to Paget's diease!

I thank you in advance and appreicate all your help, as this has beeing going on since March of 2006 and no one seems to know what is going on!

Thanks a bunch!! =)

Dear turtle_dove:  Without evaluation, including examination and review of the imaging, it is impossible to speculate on what this might be.  You might benefit from an appointment with a medical breast specialist who is familiar with all sorts of breast problems, benign and malignant.  These are often affiliated with large academic medical centers.

Could it be reoccuring nipple excema? I'm just asking for possible suggestions.

I paid $10 for suggestions, not to be told to go and see doctors, I've seen plenty, and I'm wondering what this sounds like to you?

Dear turtle_dove:  We are sorry but we cannot possibly give a list of possibilities without evaluation.  This web forum is designed to educate, not diagnose or treat.  That is the job of physicians who can do so responsibly - with examination, biopsy or whatever other testing is required.  This web site cannot substitute for medical evaluation.
