Size of Breasts

Is it normal to have one breast smaller than the other.  I have alwlays had one a little smaller, not real noticeable, but noticeable to me.  I have had it since I was about 12, it seems more noticeable since I breastfed my daughter 5 years ago.  Is this normal.

Hi,
This is a problem more common than most women realize. Many woman don't have perfectly matched breasts - one is always larger, slightly higher, or shaped differently than the other, in most women these imperfections are barely noticeable. If you are right or left handed, usually the larger breast would be on the side where the hand is more used.
Having asymmetrical breast is very normal and you shouldn't worry about it.
Best wishes.

I am unable to ask a question,, because enough people have asked. So I am asking the first person on here who seems smart. Is it normal to have rashes on the breast like excema etc. for past 2 yrs had them on and off. My breasts hurt all the time, and I feel so tired with other physical problems. They cannot find lumps, but i read about pagets breast disease and i am scared as hell. If you can't answer this question, do you know someone who can?

It is still perfectly normal especially because you have had this same left breast larger than the other since you were 12yrs old.Your body is simply made this way and as I said before many women have asymmetrical breasts.
In all these years have you ever mentioned your concern to your doctor? If you didn't, I would think that a breast exam and some sort of tests, if necessary, would be reassuring to you, since you seem to be worried about it.
Take care...

Hi,
Certainly it's not normal to have this breast skin irritation for over 2 years.
Rashes like these or chronic skin inflammation could be resulting from contact with an irritating substance or allergen. If you are overly concerned about Paget's disease, the pain and rash on your breast, you should see a Dermatologist or Breast specialist particularly if you have these symptoms:
Flaky or scaly skin on your nipple
Crusty, oozing or hardened skin resembling eczema, on the nipple, areola or both
Redness
Itching
A burning sensation
Straw-colored or bloody nipple discharge
A flattened or inverted nipple
Affected areas beyond the nipple and areola
A distinct lump underneath the nipple and areola
Skin and nipple changes usually in one breast only.
If you don't have the symptoms mentioned I would think that your problem is most probably related to a skin condition rather than Paget's disease.
Still I would advise you to seek medical intervention the sooner the better for your own peace of mind.
Best wishes...

I have seen a doctor and I have had a mammogram a year ago nothing..... whats also concerning is my general weakness and on and off i get petechiae  spots on breast and abdomine  i am just scared and Hope the petechiae is just a result from thin skin or something. I just have so many symptoms and really dont want to live like this anymore :(

Hi again,
Yes, I know that it's so frustrating when we don't get an answer for what is ailing us.I am glad that you have seen a doctor and your mammogram was negative for cancer.
You certainly need to know about what causes petechiae...The common causes include local injury and trauma, allergic reactions, autoimmune diseases, viral infections that impair blood coagulation (clotting), thrombocythemia (an abnormally high platelet level),
Please ask your doctor to recommend what other types of doctors, physicians, medical specialists, or other medical professionals should be part of the team for your medical issues. An Allergist,Hematologist or Immunologist could be of value for your particular case.
I really wish I could have helped you more and I imagine how worried you must be...but I am afraid that this is the only advice I can come up with.
best wishes and God Bless...

I know this is a little OCD!  But I just measured my breasts, my left one is about 1/2 to 1 cm bigger than the other, is that anything to worry about?  I know I have read about being different cup sizes, but I'm guessing 1 cm is nothing!  I can just notice it, my husband can't, he says they are exactly the same size.

I agree with you that your left breast being only a 1/2 to a 1cm larger,it's nothing to worry about. If your husband can't see any difference at all, then I think that it's, like you are guessing, nothing to worry about.
You seem to be very concerned about this..I am really sorry, but I don't know what to tell you more than what I already told you in my previous comments.
Please see your doctor for evaluation and reassurance.
Take care..
