Breast Hematoma Removal

During a breast biopsy I was having to remove microcalcifications, I bled a lot and a large hematoma formed in my breast. Now that some of the swelling (2-weeks) from the procedure has started to go down, I still have the hematoma, kind of almond shape, but the size of a tangerine. Is this going to go away? Do I need to have it removed? It's almost like I have an implant in one breast. It is somewhat painful.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Dear PeggyJo1952, A hematoma (bruise) can take quite awhile (several weeks to months) to heal, and the blood to be reabsorbed by the body.  Be sure to follow up with your surgeon to be sure this is healing as appropriate.
