What are you asking? There shows there are some issues but it's not necessarily cancer. With the strong family history they may want more tests. Basically it's changes inside the breast, fibroadenoma, sclerosing adenosis or fibrocystic, ect so they want to remove the area before it could change to cancer or they may want to watch it closer, it really is up to the experts but right now it's not looking like cancer but that's not to say it won't turn. My mother has the same thing, cancer lobular and ductal in right breast stages 1 and 2 had masectomy last Aug. This Jan she had the ductal hyperplasia, adenoma's, cysts, hard string nodes and fatty node, they did a lumpectomy, biopsy was negative and they are doing the ca 15.3 and 27.29 blood work and ultrasounds of left breast every 3 months to watch it. They should do the cancer marker blood tests to see what your levels are right now based on family history and the fact you are having some issues.
Hi,
Hyperplasia means there are more cells than normal within the duct, however the cells are normal cells not atypical (abnormal).Even though there is no cancer involved, but it may increase the risk of developing breast cancer in the future.
These findings are benign and surgically removal is not always advised unless there is a concern for additional disease that has shown on mammogram/Ultrasound findings and physical examination.
Since your biopsy results are in and because you have a strong family history of breast cancer, you should discuss in detail with your Physician or preferably a Breast Specialist, regarding further management plan to best treat your condition.
Wishing you all the best...
