I'm sorry that you have to go through this. Try to stay busy leading up to the biopsy and while you wait for your results. Please know that many women are in your exact position and they do not have cancer. Let us know the outcome.
Hello and welcome to MedHelp's forums. We appreciate your asking your question here. We know you are worried as anyone is prior to a biopsy. However, please try to relax as this does not in any way mean cancer. Many women do have calcifications that turn out to be harmless. They will remove them most likely during the biopsy. Are you having a needle biopsy or a surgical biopsy? Do you know your bi-rad classification? That is the number the radiologist assigns to the findings to give level of concern. Level 0 means no cancer and level 6 means likely cancer. Until it is classified as a bi rad of 6, they are ruling cancer out. Your findings show you do not have any masses or distortions which is good news. They look at these calcifications for things like number, shape, size, etc. That determines the level of suspicion for cancer they represent. https://www.webmd.com/women/guide/breast-calcification-symptoms-causes-treatments#1
When is your biopsy scheduled for? Try not to worry. I know that is easy for me to say but many women go through this same thing with benign findings. We wish you the best and will wait to hear how it goes.
