So do I. Has your doc already planned your treatment as well?
You must question him and not accept a response that is not understandable to you, or makes no sense. Also ask the nurse and others.
Have this clarified.
KAT (and please let us know what happens)
I think that you need a clarification/explanation about the specifics of that report... directly from your doctor.
tc, "i"
yes! it acutually says i have breast cancer!....on the right breast.....then on the left it says suspicious spiculated lesion and fine cluster cacification
Hi,
There are several screening tests for breast cancer.Mammogram,Ultrasound and MRI .
Each has a role is learning more, either increase or decrease suspicion about the breast, but none are diagnostic.Although a MRI is an excellent tool to detect breast abnormalities,it can also give false positive results.
Yes you are right in stating that ONLY a biopsy of a suspicious lump or abnormal area would ultimately be the determining factor whether or not something is cancerous.
Wishing you all the best...
That's my understanding, too... MRIs and other diagnostic tests confirm that an abnormality is present... pathology reports from biopsies confirm what the nature of those abnormalities are. Are you sure that the radiology report stated, Cancer... without prefacing it with language like, "suspicious" or "probable" or "possible?"
