You are welcome and thank you for the update.
A Ductogram is useful to view your breast ducts because it can accurately guide your surgeon to the ducts,to help diagnose the nipple discharge.
I hope the antibiotic is working well to fight the infection.
Take care..
i had a breast infecton and got a strong antibiotic.. after that i get the ductogram!i will keep u posted and thank you for the advice!
You are welcome!
In my opinion,I don't think that something serious is going on,since you had a Ductogram and an Ultrasound that did not show anything suspicious.Fibrocystic changes could very well cause nipple discharge that can come in a variety of colors - gray, green and brown as well as white and is quite common when the breasts are squeezed,so it's important to avoid nipple stimulation, including frequent checks for discharge, because it can actually make the secretion persist.
Duct Ecstasia is a benign condition that often improves without treatment, but if it persist, talk to your Gynecologist tomorrow, who might also prescribe an antibiotic and a pain reliever,if you have breast discomfort. These medications could greatly improve your symptoms. Also if you are taking any type medication, let your doctor know about them okay?
Again wishing you all the best :)
well i go to the gynocologist tomorrow to see what my bloodwork will say about the false pregnancy, which i still dont understand,i did have an ultrasound 6 months ago and the dr said it was the fibrocystic breast disease and sent me home, and the specialist did nothing like i said, i am now going to see my new gyno and i am praying i finally get some answers, thank you for the quick response..i hope its not something serious, i just dont understand why it would be green and black.like a dark grey color..and that dr would just send me home..i hope not because im on public aid.
Hi,
When nipples are squeezed the discharge is most often caused by a benign conditions. So it's advisable not to press the nipple to see if the discharge stops. This condition could be the result of a hormonal imbalance, inflamed ducts, fibrocystic breast changes or caused by medication. However,if the discharge is spontaneous and bloody,it is more concerning and you should see your doctor (preferably a Breast Specialist) for evaluation, because black discharge can indicate old blood which has been partly broken down.
An inverted nipple is not that unusual and it's not necessarily a sign of breast cancer...There are several things that could cause this, for example,an inflammation or infected ducts in the breast,a benign tumor or a cyst, but sometimes it could also be a sign of something more serious.
I have no idea whatsoever why you tested positive for pregnancy 6 months ago, since you had a total hysterectomy. But I am sure your Gynecologist will know what is happening and advise you on what type of testing you'll be needing, regarding your breast problems.
Best wishes and hoping that things turn out just fine for you...
