Hi,

Considering your age, it is a possibility that this is normal physiological response of the body associated with pubertal changes.

But you should still consult your doctor to rule out gynecomastia as the cause of your symptoms.

A lump in males could be due to various causes and investigations need to be done to find out the cause - it could be physiological, hormonal, gynecomastia, infection, or in some cases breast cancer.

You would need to consult your doctor and get a proper clinical examination and certain investigations to find out the exact cause.

Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Regards.

Hi,

Gynecomastia is a benign enlargement of the male breast resulting from a proliferation of the glandular component of the breast. Gynecomastia is defined clinically by the presence of a rubbery or firm mass extending concentrically from the nipples.
