I am glad you are feeling better!
BTW, you don't need to avoid the pill (or other meds. that may contribute, such as some blood pressure meds, antidepressants, and major tranquilizers), because the nipple discharge is not dangerous, or even that big a deal. (You may not even notice it if you stop squeezing.)
It is just helpful to know that some meds may have this effect, because I've known people who were put though a lot of bloodwork, CAT scans of the brain, etc., that might not need to have been done, if the meds they were on had been taken into consideration.

It is normal for many women to have some type of nipple discharge or fluid when their nipples/ breasts are squeezed. Squeezing the nipple sends a message to the brain and the pituitary gland responds by increasing prolactin levels, which in turn produces discharge from the nipple.
Certain medications also increase the likelihood of discharge, and there are certain times of life (due to hormine fluctuations) that discharge is more likely.
It may be that your pregnancy began preparing your body to nurse, and that the squeezing of your nipples during your self-examinations has continued to send that message to your brain. If you take birth control pills, this may also contribute.
Nipple discharge is more of a concern when it is spontaneous (comes out by itself) and only involves one breast. In that case, a doctor should be consulted.
Best wishes...
