Hi,
The first thing that you need to do is set up an appointment with your doctor. It is not possible for anyone, over the internet, to know what the real problem is. A doctor needs to examine the lump and perhaps do some testing. Most painful lumps though, are rarely associated with breast cancer.
There are many causes of breast lumps. Some of these causes are harmless, while others can be painful and worrisome.Causes of painful breast lumps could include infections, cysts or other non-cancerous growths.
Please see your doctor for evaluation and correct diagnosis.
Take care...
but i do have a lump in that area
Hi,
If you have no other symptoms like nipple discharge, skin changes in the breast or nipple area, any lump, any inversion of the nipple etc,I doubt that it could be a sign of breast cancer. This pain could be caused by hormonal changes.Try to avoid caffeine (chocolate coffee, colas) and see how it goes.If the pain still persists you will need to schedule an appointment and see your physician for a clinical evaluation.
Take care and best wishes...
