spots right breast

For week or more I have noticed dark spots on my right breast, like bruises and very itchy at times. I'm 46. Several years ago a cyst was found on the same breast but was left as that. I'm worried please help.

Hi,
There are many things that could cause bruises in the breast. The most common is injury to fragile blood vessels causing bleeding under the skin.Sometimes, just bumping into something or wearing an ill fitted bra, will cause bruises.Hormonal changes could also cause bruising and itching that could be due to perimenopause or menopause symptoms.
Furthermore, some people could bruise easily if they have a coagulopathy disorder or just by taking anti-inflammatory pain killers like Aspirin and Ibuprophen, because these medications thin out the blood..If these bruises do not fade away over the next week or two,,then I would suggest to consult your doctor for evaluation.
All the best...

Hi, if your dr didn't seem worried about the cysts at the time I wouldn't worry about them. As for the bruises and itching, I would report any new breast issues at first chance. In saying that, I have been getting little tiny pin head bruises on my boobs after scratching too much for years. My boobs usually get itching after wearing a bra that's not fitted properly, or of I sleep in a bra. So the actually scratching itself can cause the little tiny bruises due to blood vessels being broken  when you go a little too vigorously with the scratching. That all being said, when my mum got diagnosed with breast cancer at age 50 she never once complained of itching or bruises.
Maybe it's time to start getting mammograms?

Your best bet is to just go to the dr. Most suspicious breast findings will turn out to be benign.
Good luck, sam.
