Dear Becky, I have not heard of an abnormality to the breast referred to as "breast crystals". Are you talking about calcifications on a mammogram? Calcifications or microcalcifications are pinpoint flecks of calcium in the breast. These calcifications depending on how they look on the mammogram can be more or less suspicious. For example, a group of calcifications that are clustered together would be a more suspicious finding than those that are scattered throughout the breast, and may require further evaluation.
