There isn't anything that had been committed that God will not forgive with the exception of anything said against the Holy Spirit. God will forgive all sins, if you are sincere and repent from the heart also, invite Jesus Christ into your heart and accept him as your Lord and Savior. There is always hope and that you help give you inner peace. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Honey, you really have got to let this go and give it over to God. You've already repented and asked for forgiveness. He forgave you the first time you asked. He doesn't want you to keep beating yourself up. Instead, He wants you to thank Him for forgiving you and go out and live your life to the best and spread the good news of how loving and kind and forgiving our Lord is! That's what He wants. :)
"the Christian's bar of soap," 1 John 1:9—"If we confess our sins [and you have, over and over and over, right?], He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness." Note that God does two things when we confess: 1) He forgives us, which means He sends them away forever, and 2) He cleanses us of ALL unrighteousness, making our souls clean and pure as snow. What's missing for you is the decision to consciously RECEIVE His forgiveness and cleansing.
Are you being punished for your sins? Well, consider this: there is a difference between punishment, which includes wrath being poured out on us, and the consequences of our choices, which is loving discipline. Romans 8:1 says that there is NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because the Lord Jesus took all of the Father's condemnation on Himself on the cross. So God is not punishing you. Are you experiencing consequences for your sinful choices? Maybe in the beginning. But from what you describe to me, with peace, joy, and fulfillment eluding you, it sounds like you have your cup upside down, which is preventing you from receiving any new blessings from God because of the mistaken belief that you are still under condemnation.
No,, you will not have to pay for the rest of your life. What God wants is repentance, and you have already done that. Scripture says that godly sorrow leads to repentance (2 Cor. 7:10),
batbat8, I responded to your last post on this issue.Listen, God does forgive. HE really does, but the consequences we usually have to deal with. ANd just because the consequences of our sin remains does not mean that He has not forgiven us.
ACcept His forgiveness and come to a place to where you can deal with the consequences with the grace that He gives us.
batbat.....listen our God is a God of forgiveness,if really repent and ask for forgiveness He will throw your sins as far as the east is from west...give your life over to Jesus and you will see things turn around....there are no last chances with Jesus....He shed His blood for you....if you need to talk pm me.....God Bless...brian
