rainbow, I don't believe you are manipulating scriptures when you are claiming God's promises for you. His promises were not just for the people in those days but for all of us. He remains the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Scripture is powerful and our weapon against our enemy, Satan, who would want nothing more than to destroy us. We have to stand on God's promises and claim victory to overcome the enemy and what he wants to do to us.
I'm thrilled you have experienced this power and so glad you shared this with us! Thank you and may God continue to bless you.
I'm not in anyway agreeing with that man. I don't even know if you have PTSD. I don't mean to be presumptuous. I do know that Jesus knows the reasons for your depression and He will guide you into whatever healing you need. Thanks for your honesty.
I have PTSD and depression is a symptom. With God's guidance I have found healing and restoration. It takes time and a lot of hard work but it is not permanent. I do believe that trauma, especially trauma experienced in childhood, changes the brain chemistry. But in Jer. 32:27 the Lord says," I am the Lord, the God of all flesh (this includes the brain). Is there anything too hard for Me? I try really hard not to manipulate scripture to fit my needs but I have been healed. For me it has been a process of therapy, hospitals, prayer and much memorization of scripture and hymns. I will always have the scars of the trauma but so does our Friend in heaven. His scars are the only earthly thing He took with Him when He returned to the Father. We will see those scars someday.. My prayer promise for you is Jeremiah 30:17.
Amen!!! What is not possible with man is possible with God! Don't listen to the negative remarks. Claim your healing by the blood of Jesus! Find as many healing scriptures as you can and start claiming all of God's promises over you. You are a child of the most high God and there is nothing too hard for our God, nothing!
The world doesn't get it, Seahorse, because they don't have that relationship with the only one who can meet all our needs, the only one with the power and concern to help us. The only one who we can fully rely on, fully trust. I wish everyone could fully grasp this too.
I loved that video that you posted on here, by the way! I sent that on to all my friends. I wish everyone could see it and truly understand and accept this wonderful offer the Lord offers to all of us. I can't imagine life without Him. I will always be grateful to Him for saving me and being patient with me. He means everything to me.
Keep your eyes on Jesus, Seahorse. He is your healer!
