Radiation and Cancer

At 47, I have had 4 CAT scans, 5 MRIs, and numerous X-Rays (the result of a rare migraine disease, and life as an athlete). What can I do to avoid radiation induced cancer later in life?

thank you. I played hard in my youth, and hope not to suffer the consequences of all that radiation. My best wishes to your wife.

The only "cure" I know of is preventative - avoid radiation.

Given you level of exposure I would think you would subject yourself to further exposure as a last choice.

I have not done any research, but my wife who suffers from cancer has periodic CT scans, and there is an effort to spread the out.. or said again, non-exposure is the best cure.
