cancer, eye dieases

my bf has been suffering from a sinus infection for over 2 months now. Two dr visit and perscriptions given, he is now having more difficulty. He has cloudy vision in the left eye and swollen gland on the left side also. I am very worried thinking its something serious. The Dr. gave him cream to put on his eye and hes been on it since Monday. They told him to come see them again Friday if it hasn't cleared by then. Can you please help me. He is thinking serious terminal dieases. I am worried it might be a turmor . The dr. said he thinks it is part of this virus that has been going around. Please make me feel better and tell me what we might be going up against here.

The cloudiy vision could be "Fuch's Dystrophy." Fuch's is not life threatening.  It causes cloudiness of the cornea.  Mosrly in the mornings and improves as the day goes on,  I have it.  Some times it does not improve that much. Look this up on the intrernet, because there is more information on this than I can type right now.  Also go to see an "Opthalmologist" or a "Cornea" specialist not an Optrometrist.  Mine was discovered during an exam. Make sure you ask them to check for this.

Hi there!

The swollen gland could be related to the sinus infection; while the cloudy vision is unlikely to be related and would require an evaluation by an ophthalmologist to consider issues such as refractive errors, infections, increased eye pressure etc. This does not sound like cancer/ terminal illness. If the eye ointment doesn’t seem to help you may consider a review with his treating doctor.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
