neupogen

low blood count started neupogen injections to build up white blood cell count so I can have chemotherapy, can I drink beer with this?

I had a few drinks when I had Nupegon as part of my treatment.  If you are on high levels of Nupegon (like for stem cell collections for stem cell transplant) you may want to limit your drinking.  Nupegon is a growth factor that is injected right into your blood stream so drinking alcohol should not effect it the same way alcohol lowers the effect of medications you take orally (antibiotics etc)

I would recommend you address your physician with this question.  Ideally, I would assume no drinking of alcohol would be ideal especially before starting chemo.
