obstruction the cervix

please can you clarify my concern. i had a ultra sound which shows mass in the pancreas and the cervix. this was followed by CT scan. CT shows raise lympathic glands obstructing the common bile duct and some on the cervix. i have an appointment with the gynaecologist next week. is this serious. is this cancer. if so is it benign.

Hi.  As I've told you, you'll probably need to have that biopsy done so you can have a definite diagnosis of that mass.  Anything more that I can say at this point will be pure conjecture.  I do hope it isn't anything serious.  But your overall appearance at present (whether you look ill or well) does not correlate to whether the diagnosis will turn out to be a benign or malignant condition. As for the possibility of  gastro-intestinal/ genito-urinary tuberculosis, you don't need to have had prior pulmonary tuberculosis for you to be susceptible.

thank you for your reply.
i have never had tubercolosis. i can wait to see the gynaecologist on wednesday. hopefully he will be a bearer of good news or at least be able to tell me more, of whats going on.
you see i looked well i don't look ill at all. my weight has remained  7stone 2 pounds from 8 stones before. and currently feeling very guilty being off worked. but my doctor does'nt want me to return to work until all the test have been completed. my colleagues visits at home and they are so surprised to see me looking well.
all i ahve is a feeling of bloatiness, right side pain and accasional short sharp pain on right side. i take cocodamol30/500mg 6 to 8 tablets a day.

can you tell more about my diagnosis. thank you

Hi.  There's no way of telling whether those masses are benign or cancerous.  A biopsy needs to be done to determine this. From your description, there is a possibility that those masses are malignant, but some conditions like tuberculosis, may present with a similar appearance.  So the best thing to do is to have the biopsy done at the soonest possible time.
