Good evening;
Felt a bit crummy today, but got a smile.
As usual, Miss Teia and Hildiekatt were having supper together.
Hildie did not finish and wandered off. Since Chesapeake was coming down the hall, and Teia was still eating, I put the baby gate up in the doorway.
Chessie stopped to polish off Hildie's plate. Normally, when Teia sees Chessie, even with the gate up, "Hiss, Hiss!" and under the nightstand.
Not tonight, Teia looked up, seemed to go "Hmmph..." and went back to eating. After she finished, "Hiss, hooof..." and under the nightstand.
Progress, of sorts.
This morning I woke up a bit early.
Miss Teia was laying on the floor on the door side of the bed.
She rolled on her side and started doing the "wiggle-worm dance."
Loves ear scritches...so I obliged.
Looks like she's taking command of the whole room, all the time, not just her window seat and "underground;" she's been enticed to eat just outside the room (about once or twice a week this works).
Next step is to put the baby gate across the hall so she can (maybe) explore both big bedrooms; trying to expand her horizons. Did this last night, almost got her out and about...
Hahaha,...Teia is beginning to assert herself.
