Not urinating as before...

I have a six yr old cat who just spent 3 days at a animal clinic...he had a problem urinating ...they found crystals in his urine...and kept him, catheterized and hydrated him. He is on Amoxicillin and a pain med as well as a relaxer (bladder)...at the tune of $3,000 dolllars...
My cat came home yesterday as they ( The Vet) said he was urinating on his own and was fine! since he has come home he is only going a dribble at a time...he always loved water...and drank lots....he is not taking water, he is not peeing  as before...is this something I am just going to have to wait for him to do??? His appetite is good and he is acting ok....but I am concerned with just a dribble here and there...he goes into the litter box and just tries to go....
any help will be appreciated....

I am very happy and relieved to announce my cat is doing very well now...he had crystals in his urine but no infection...Thank God....however he remains on Amoxicillin so he can have the full course ...he is drinking and eating and snubbing the foods he does not like.....I do have a problem with his fussy eating habits....He loves the dry food...I always gave him a handful in the am and the wet food at night....now, with the crystal formation I have to stick with the wet food...he is haunting me for his "crunchies" however I think he will just have to get used to it........

No prob...a happy cat is...well...a happy cat! :)

I STIL liked he water dish shaped like a toilet bowl I got last year. I though it made a very good point with some of the toilet drinkers around here!

Thanks for your input...my cat started peeing a fair amount this afternoon...This guy is spoiled he will only drink water out of a paper cup whenI hold it??? I just bought an electric circulating water dish for him...but I guess he likes the paper cup better...
I know how painful this is...since I am not a cat but a Nurse who has had UTI's myself..it is horrid...
He is much more alert, and putting his nose up to foods he doesn't like...so he must be getting better hopefully...
Thanks a lot!

I'd be worried he's got a blockage that isn't clearing on it's own (this sounds like kidney stones, painful in people or cats!)  I'd guess if there's no blood you could wait a few days, but cats aren't people...so i'd advise calling the vet to confirm this. Regardless of blood, it's VERY painful to have a blockage like this, pain medication or not!

Is he still on the relaxer? If so, the dose could be too high, causing lack of abilty to constrict his bladder to urinate. The pain med could be causing this just as well, by the way. Definitely call the vet, now that I think about it.
