3 year old fussy about going to kindergarten

Hi
My 3 and 1/2 year old is really fussy about going to kindergarten.I am scared that if we push her too much,will it create any psychological problems by the time she will be 5 years ie,school age?

I remember being nervous and scared every new year at school.  I am not surprised that your little one is probably scared about preschool.  I wouldn't push any talk of kindergarten yet though.  She's still got some time before kindergarten but in the meantime, get her involved in some activities with other children to get her used to it.  It will probably help ease the transition.   Also, if there are kids her age, she may find a friend she already knows when she does go to school.

3.5 year olds rarely go to kindergarten. Do you mean preschool? If so, most pre-k programs help ease children's anxiety about attending. Parents can usually sit-n for a period of time. Have you met with the teacher and program director? What have they said?
