5 year old son is aggressive in school

It is conforting to see that I am not the only parent who's child has issue in kindergarten.  My son just started kindergarten and he is already on an IEP.  He is agressive with other children, to the point that he is isolated from the other students because they are afraid of him.  For half the day, he will cooperate with the Resource teacher but by 11 am, he wants to go back to his classroom.  When he is told no, he throws a tantrum that involves kicking, screaming, throwing chairs etc.  It got so bad one time he kicked a teacher in the throat (accidentally - but he was still suspended).  He has been all the academic test which shows he can read on the 2nd grade level and in on age level for math.  But his horrible behavior cannot be controlled at the school.  I know it is difficult to deal with him, and they have diagnosed him with having ADHD.  However, I do not think it helps him develop socially if he is not allowed the participate.  I am taking him to a pyschologist but I am not sure how it will help.  I need some advice before I lose my mind.

I think you are right this child needs helpand seems very upset  and it would be good if you took him to a pyschologist or counselor for some further input why he is behaving like this,There could be other issues going on.,
