6 Year crys alot over feelings of guilt

My daughter is 6. About two months ago she started crying hysterically and saying she was upset because she felt bad about........(she was bringing up the silliest things  ) not calling so and so over for red rover, or being mean to a girl by saying she's annoying, saying a bad word in her mind. She's goes to a Catholic school, we've talked about praying for forgiveness. I've tried telling her everybody does little things that aren't always nice and we just need to learn from them and move on. But these issues keep her up at night, for hours. Her personalty hasn't changed in the day time, but these incidences are starting to concern me. About 2 months ago this went on, on a close to daily basis for about 3 weeks, and it's now started back up over the last week she's had about 3 episodes. Many tell me it's a phase. I just don't want to make something small that may need more attention from a child physiologist.   And I don't want to make something bigger than it may be. She has always been sensitive to others feelings, but this is over the top.

Definately confide in her doctor, if she goes to a catholic school make sure they are not emphasizing too much on sin and Hell!  Sounds weird but I went to a catholic school and my friend used to worry so much about going to Hell or doing something bad it used to really freak her out to a point where she'd get really upset.  Children can dwell on morbid thoughts (it's very dramatic) but they shouldn't fixate on them or it becomes a problem. Perhaps if you mention that you do things sometimes that are wrong (such as white lies or something like that) and make her see that is normal and doesn't mean something bad will happen.

Could anyone else be making her feel bad, who does she talk to about it, 6 year old seems young to in fact be anxious about what she has said without some nudging, has she siblings, friends she may chat to about it?
