I was never prescribed adderoll but as its known in suburban areas as " prep school coke " referring to cocaine. Many of my classmates were prescribed this medication but the dosages varied between all of them. The most was 20mg twice a day the symptoms that most of the people complained about were probaly from too high of a dosage. Maybe you should consult with your doctor and try a smaller dosage and just see what happens.
Good Luck!

My son started taking Aderoll last week.  He is on 5 mg in the morning and 5 mg in the afternoon.  He is 7 yrs old and taking it for adhd.  He is a dear sweet child who has no problems socially or with depression (at this time).  He has a problem with the inattentive, impulsive side of adhd.  He can't pay attention or control his momentary impulses.  This mild dosage has helped him tremendously in school already.  He is not a "zombie".  He still runs and plays and rides his bike.  The only difference is that when he needs to sit still and pay attention he can.  He is a bit more emotional, easily hurt and angered, and has no appetite, but the doctor hopes this will wear off once his body adjusts to the medication.  I had a very hard time deciding to put him on medication because I thought it was often overused as a substitue for discipline.  I now know that "good" kids from traditional homes can need this as well.  Thanks.

My 4 year old grandson has just been put on aderall today, along with paxil (10mg).  I too am concerned with the drug effects.
He is so hyper, he can't sit down hardly for a minute.  He has been kicked out of three daycare facilites, so we had to do something, but if he shows any negative side effects the drugs will have to go.

I recently have been prescribed to take 20 mg's of aderall daily, and i am 16 and i have noticed that it helps me concentrate in school alot better than normal. Also it makes me have the motivation to want to go to school and my grades have tremendously went up, but i have noticed that when i go to basketball workouts and we have to run long distances, my mouth gets very dry, and i almost puke everytime. So lately i have been keeping water with me in the gym so when my mouth gets dry i can jsut squirt some in my mouth and get it wet, but i dont want to tell my coach this b/c hes an *** and its not worth the **** he will give me. So i just try to get over the cotton mouth, Should i be running and participating in activities when im on this???
