Hi, I'm a mother of an Autistic Child PHS4. also tends to be less social when around a group of children. You son seems to be functioning socially in his own past. It is good that he has eye contact, normally this lacks when my child is spoken to or wants your attention. We have our son in therapy for Speech, behaviourl and more. You may want to contact Community living in your area and Erin oak. They will be able to determin what kind of help you can offer your child. Hope all goes well for you both. sr
As far as treatments or therapies, are there any differences from what you would offer a child with high functioning autism vs. sensory integration deficit?
The two can be so completely similar, it doesn't seem necessary at this point that you differentiate the two, does it?
Best wishes.
