i also forgot to add in that there is never a time that he does not wake up crying...at night in the morning, whenever...i know this is seperate from the eating thing but this also concerns me also...

Again I for got to add...... I know this sounds a little strange but I feel a little comforted to know that I am not the only parent having these concerns! Sometimes, I wonder if my son has some exotic toddler disease or something :-)

Oh I forgot...the informational packets on the sleep problems is from our sons doctor.

OMG, Are we sharing the same child??????  My boy too! In addition, mine is refusing to go to sleep at night. Till 12:30 a.m., last night before we finally got him down. As for the sleeping/crying/screaming problems, my hubby is going to pick up some informational packets on the subject that they are giving us today. So if it sheds light on the subject, I'll let you know. There doesn't seem to be any physical reasons for the crying and sleep problems. And no abnormal type scream or cry when he does it.
