My One Year old

This may sound like a silly question. But my one year old boy is a happy little guy. He is just not cuddlie and affectionate? He doesn't kiss or cuddle at all unless he is tired. My 6 year old girl, was a mushy, affectionate little thing at the age of one. Is this normal for my little guy?

I have a one year old girl who isn't very cuddly and wont sit still on my lap for more than five minutes, she wont fall asleep on me only in her bed and if u try and cuddle her she pushes your face away!! I think everything else that is going on is way more interesting than having a cuddle with mummy! I have a 3 year old boy and he is the complete opposite, so I dont think it's a sex thing, I think it's more about different personalities, but unfortunatey or fortunately completely normal x

my son is not even 10 months old yet and doesn't want me to hold him while he drinks his bottle at night anymore :o( just last week, he started falling asleep on his own without being rocked. reading this post has made me feel like this may be the beginning of that little boy "independence" thing. i though i had a lot more time to be lovey and mushy with him - but i guess not.

Sounds perfectly normal to me---my little guys only like to cuddle when they are tired also..I think it may be a boy thing--they'd rather hit and punch and run than sit and cuddle...
