Spine issues and heart palps, vagus nerve?

Hi - My neck and back have been bad for years. 5 out of 7 neckbones show degen, midback pain ALWAYS that spreads to the chest, some buldging lower discs as well. I frequesntly have pain down left arm and numbness on the outside (down to the pinky and ring fingers only).  I learned to live with the pain, but more issues have arisen.

I have some SVT arrythmias called Accelerated Junctional Rythmn and a few PACs. Had every heart test you can imagine, everything is perfect except for this "electrical" issue. I notice palps are worse after eating. Meds are of no help, side effects are worse than the conditition.

I'm 53, 110/65 BP, 60-70BPM resting heart rate except when palps occur, then it jumps to 110 (at rest). Low cholestrol, I should feel perfect but I don't.

So my question is whether my spine could be the true root cause. I know the Vagus nerve runs along the esophagus (so eating could aggravate it??) and sometimes if I change my position it will stop. My only option is a heart ablation but I'm not thrilled about that, and if its my spine that is root cause then it will be a wasted effort.

Please help.

Jim

Am I graspng at straws here or is it possible my spine is affecting my heart arrtthmia via the Vagus nerve?

I'd suggest a consult with an Upper Cervical specialist. Take a look at the referral directory on www.UpCspine.com and see if there are any practitioners near you.
