Intense Bicep Pain for 3 weeks

Every morning when I wake up, I can't use my left arm. As of 3 months ago I fractured my left elbow, went 3 weeks without treatment. Saw doctors, which confirmed a fracture of my radial head in my forearm bone. They said it was healing nicely, I had fractured my right arm before so new not to use it too much. During the 5 week healing process I changed my sleep habits since I couldn't extend or bend my arm out and in all the way. I finally gained the use of my arm again after the 5 week period. Though my elbow does pop now, and i wear a tennis brace on my forearm to keep it from popping when I’m at work. It does hurt when it pops, but that’s not the problem.

Every morning I’m in constant pain, I can barley even lift my left arm up, I’m in intense sharp pain, as a result I can't lift my arm, its weak. But as the day wears on, I gain 100% usage. There is a hint of pain, but not enough to ruin my day.

I am still young, 23 years old, so I thought everything was going to heal up nicely. Figured if I take it in to a doctor they would have no idea. I didn't pull anything at work, and even if I did, wouldn't it have healed by 3 weeks. And I didn't feel anything while I was working, torn ligament for example.

Any clue? Thanks
James

I'd definitely go speak to your doctor about this... it's not normal, and you shouldn't handle this lightly. Speak to an orthopedist about it... he may refer you to a neurologist to evaluate nerve function.

Warm wishes,

I figured out what it was!!! After a MRI it was said I had Bursitis!!! That explains everything! :] Im just happy I know what I have, but heard it can get really bad. :[ Over use of the shoulder by lifting things over my head, throwing, and sleeping with the arm over the head. huh
