I'd say the most responsible thing to do first, if you haven't done so already, is consult with your medical doctor to rule out anything involving an internal organ (kidney, liver, ovary, etc.) Organs can cause "Referred pain" and any of these may elicit pains in the right flank.
Afterwards, if everything checks out, then it would be a good idea to consult with a chiropractor. They'll search for an underlying structural problem.

first off , i have intercostal chondritis its a long term painful condition, chiro is helpful with activator on the triggers frontal and back ribs, you probably have sciatic nerve pinched , do you do the stretches for periformis muscle lay on your side in your hip area you might feel a bruised hip this has to be stretched! or rolfed with elbow i get this alot , have your vit D checked also. mine was dangerously low i';m on 50,000 units due to thyroid issues hypo..
