does the nsaids are contraindicated in COPD. why it should be used with caution in COPD asthma patients
Temazepam and all other medicines in its class of benzodiazepines are central nervous system (CNS) depressants. People with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) may already have a decreased respiratory drive that could be further depressed, to the point of respiratory failure, by a medicine of this type. This is especially true of people with severe COPD who suffer from chronically low oxygen levels and elevated carbon dioxide levels.
The drug you are talking about is a typical benzine( valium, diazapam, ativan, lorazapam etc) All of which suppress breathing much the same as opiates. If you experience anxiety as I do , I truly sympathize. It seems like a catch 22, your d***** if you don't and D***** if you don't. This has been truly one of my biggest problems with this terrible disease. Copd-emphysema is bad enough, but with your heart racing from anxiety or panic attacks is unbearable. The only other thing that helped me was booze!!!!!! Not a good alternative.
