weird lung symptoms help!

Hello everyone, i am a 16 yr old male who has been experiencing weird symptoms, i smoked everyday for 2 years. I quit about a month and a half ago (well i vaporize) About two weeks ago i began to get sick, i got a fever the first day, the second day my lungs were tight i was wheezing when i coughed( you know like that congested lung sound), i was spitting out brown smelly phlegm, then green phlegm, then clear phlegm. I figured i was getting better until i noticed my lung capacity was still a little low. I still have that congested lung sound a little bit at random times, Much less though, i had swollen lymph nodes all around, but now it seems they are going down. I think i have (or had) chronic bronchitis but im not sure, But all of a sudden my phlegm is getting brown spots or streaks or whatever you wanna call it in it. Im a little worried because my phlegm was clear before. Is this my system clearing out the bronchitis or something worse? help!!

It is common to expel discolored phlegm for some weeks to months after smoking cessation, but this is, almost always, not associated with fever.  It sounds like you may have had acute bronchitis or pneumonia.  If your phlegm continues to clear, albeit slowly, then there should be no problem.  But if your phlegm begins to darken again, that may be a sign of active infection and you should see your doctor and get a chest x-ray.

I dont think i explained chronic bronchitis correctly.  I think it means you have have excessive phlegm for several months every year

Is  that less harsh  on your lungs?  well any way it sounds to me (im no expert)  like you dont have chronic bronchitis, because that means that you repeatedly get bronchitis through out your life  but more like you have bronchitis or maybe it has set into pneumonia.  You should go back to the doctor and they might put you on an oral steroid like prednisone.  I have had this many times in my life.  It sucks  but it happens.  Smoking or vaporizing certainly  doesnt help the breathing part trust me on that.  I found out the hard way.

It is an alternative to smoking which heats the material just enough to release the active ingredients but doesnt burn.
