bronchitis

i've went to the doctor a year ago and was diagnosed with acute bronchitis and took antibiotics to get rid of it. However, it never completely left. I always find by self breathless, tired, drained and I hardly have any energy. I also am constantly spitting in light red blood with yellow mucus mixed in it. So do you think I may have copd?

I have COPD and I don't constantly secrete yellow mucous.  Off colored mucous usually represents infection. Its also possible it could be nasal drainage.  Do you always have a big glob in your throat as you wake up?  If so that sounds like chronic nasal more than COPD.  Im not a doctor so I cant properly advise you.  My recommendation would be to see a Pulmonologist.  They are the ones who can tell you for sure whats wrong with you.  Remember--they are heart and lung specialists.  That means they see every symptom there is many times over.  Let a pro diagnose you---not someone over the interenet!

You should make a visit to your doctor again and present those symptoms to him/her.  Perhaps a chest xray can shed some light into your problem.  I have a feeling there might be a slight scaring of the lung tissues from the bronchitis that prolong your problem.  If you are a smoker, then i would consider quitting.  If you are exposed to any bad environmental factors, then find ways to minimize it.  Also, do you cough on a regular basis?
