Is Tamiflu safe for liver?

I've been prescribed Tamiflu but have seen some concern about it's potential damage to the liver. I have compensated cirrhosis (7 yrs) and am basically very healthy except for this flu. I've read that the drug elevates liver enzymes. Can't call gi doc as Friday night.
Thanks for any comments!

The only person who can advise you on this is your doctor as you have advanced liver disease.

I also have cirrhosis dx in Jan 2008. Because we have a weakened system my doctor has advised me to get the flu shot every year as soon as it becomes available.

Have you had the pneumonia vaccine? My doctor had me get vaccinated as soon as I was diagnosed with cirrhosis. He also had me get vaccinated against hep a and hep b.

I did find this on the NIH website

https://livertox.nih.gov/Oseltamivir.htm

Hepatotoxicity
Despite widespread use, there is little evidence that oseltamivir when given orally causes liver injury, either in the form of serum enzyme elevations or clinically apparent liver disease.  A proportion of patients with acute influenza A may have minor serum enzyme elevations during the acute illness, but these appear to be independent of therapy and are not exacerbated by osteltamivir.

I also looked up the prescribing information sheet for tamuflu

https://www.gene.com/download/pdf/tamiflu_prescribing.pdf

8.7 Hepatic Impairment
No dosage adjustment is required in patients with mild to moderate hepatic impairment. The safety and pharmacokinetics in patients with severe hepatic impairment have not been evaluated [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.3)].

That's all I have for you on this

Thank you. I managed to peruse the info sheet with the drug and saw the same. And no, I kept putting off getting the flu shot, and have learned a hard lesson.
I appreciate your input!
